Stunning Penthouse with an Indoor Slide in a 19th Century Tower

A 19th century facade in lower Manhattan hosts a mind-blowing modern apartment, the spotlight of which is a massive mirror-surfaced slide that goes all four stories down. Architect David Hotson transformed this penthouse, located on the uppermost floors of the building, into a living space, working together with interior designer Ghislaine Viñas.
The apartment is a wonderful combination of glass, stainless steel, and faceted white surfaces, livened by colored furniture and interior accents – “a complex interior with a number of dramatic elements,” as Hotson put it accurately. East or west, this home would definitely be the best!
